To mark Library Ireland Week 2016, the library is hosting an Exhibition of photographs by Paul Butler, which are inspired by the works of John McGahern.
The exhibition “The Deep Well of Want” is a part of an ongoing research project visualising the role of place and ritual within the writings of John McGahern.
Library Ireland Week 2016: Walk in Access to Electronic Resources – Launch at Library IT Tallaght
To celebrate Library Ireland Week 2016 the Library in IT Tallaght is pleased to announce the launch of a FREE Walk in Access to Electronic Resources facility. This service compliments the pre-existing External Reader and External Borrow Memberships already available at the library. It is now possible to get access a selection of the library’s electronic resources – licenses permitting. These resources cover subject areas such as science, engineering, business and humanities. Also included is access to some newspaper archives. Access is available to any member of the public who wants to research on these databases, for their own personal / private use.
To avail of this service, just register online and book a time slot!
Why not just Google it?
IT Tallaght Library pays a subscription to many electronic journals. The articles in these journals are not freely available online in most cases. The information in these articles is often of higher quality than that available openly on the web, often reviewed by other experts in the subject before publication. To find out more about the databases that the library provides access too, see our Databases and Electronic Resources YouTube playlist at: http://bit.ly/erplaylist
